DR. DIPTY ACHARYA
Dr. Dipty Acharya attended the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA and graduated with honours in May of 2009 as a Doctor of Optometry. She joined Listowel Vision Care in 2009 where she continued to develop her interest and passion for vision development & rehabilitation as the protégé of Dr. Betty Fretz. She is an active member of OAO (Ontario Association of Optometrists) and CAO (Canadian Association of Optometrists).
Dr. Acharya has continued her education since her graduation in 2009. She completed the curriculum of the Optometric Extension Program Foundation and the Sanet Vision Seminar Series. She regularly completes courses in vision development and rehabilitation and attends annual vision therapy conferences. She is in good standing as a member of COVD (College of Optometrists in Vision Development), CSO (College of Syntonic Optometry), NORA (Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association), OBIA (Ontario Brain Injury Association), OEPF (Optometric Extension Program Foundation), and VTC (Vision Therapy Canada). She is a candidate for fellowship with COVD (College of Optometrists in Vision Development).
Dr. Acharya is a loving mother of two and presently lives in Guelph where she enjoys reading and hiking. She is extremely compassionate and is one of the first people to lend assistance to those in need. She is deeply devoted to her patients and always gives each patient as much time as necessary to ensure they are completely aware and able to totally understand any questions or concerns they have regarding their vision.
